The Global Forensic and Justice Center at Florida International University is dedicated to supporting the justice community through innovative research, programs, evaluation of the latest technologies, forensic science education and laboratory quality reviews. Our goal is for all stakeholders to receive and provide the highest level of forensic science services.

As part of this commitment, we are making available the nearly 30-year archive of training material, symposia, poster presentations, and technical evaluations completed by our founding component, the National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC).

Capital The Office of Justice Programs’ National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Laboratory Division are co-sponsoring the Impression and Pattern Evidence Symposium to be held August 2–5, 2010, in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

The symposium is specifically designed to bring together practitioners and researchers to enhance information-sharing and promote collaboration among the impression and pattern evidence, law enforcement, and legal communities. The symposium will also provide unique educational opportunities for impression and pattern evidence examiners.
