Topic 2 :: DNA Evidence Testing

How Is DNA Evidence Tested?

Once evidence is submitted to the forensic laboratory, tests that have been accepted by the scientific community are used to analyze the DNA contained in biological evidence. This is done to compare DNA profiles from known reference samples with DNA profile(s) from evidentiary material. For more information, see Module 4, Introduction to the Forensic DNA Laboratory.
